We try to think of everything to ensure you have the best possible time. But here’s our top list of what you need on your camping trip.
1) A lovely campervan
We think our vans are rather lovely and hope you agree. We only use modern VW vans which we two-tone in traditional colours so you can enjoy the traditional experience with a few more creature comforts.
Our hire campers come with heating, fridge, two gas ring cooker and a microwave for when you are on the hook up. Daisy even comes with a hot water shower system and toilet for when you are off the grid.
2) Decent coffee
Camping means getting a great night’s sleep and everyone needs a decent cuppa to get you out for your adventures each morning. That’s why we stock our vans with a cafetiere and a bag of Somerset’s best coffee, Miles Coffee. That’ll get you buzzing. Enjoy premium coffee in the sunshine and the envy of your fellow campers.
3) Camping chairs and a table
Nothing better than making camp and relaxing in a comfy chair to watch the sun go down. Don’t underestimate how useful a camping table is for all those lovely nibbles and drinks. Moovans campervan hire includes two high quality camping chairs and a fold out table. Now sit back and enjoy.
4) Snacks and drinks
Moovans loves the West Country produce and we always try to give our customers a taste of the best. Enjoy Cornish fudge, Dorset Cereals and Somerset teas from the very best local producers. Let us know if you find some local gems, we’d love to feature them in our welcome baskets. Check out our Gourmet road trip for tips. https://www.moovans.com/get-south-west-food-trail-moovans-campervan-hire/
5) Bedding & Towels
We don’t provide bedding or towels so don’t forget to bring these with you when you rent a campervan. We provide lots of handy storage so you tuck them away during the day.
6) Games for bad weather
When it rains as it sometimes does, there’s nothing better than enjoying the gentle pitter-patter while beating your friends and family at poker. For those competitive with Connect 4 or Battleships we provide a travel version to take on your adventures. Let us know when you book your campervan hire and we can put these in your van for you. Other games that go a storm are travel chess and draughts.
7) A portable BBQ
A bucket bbq is a great easy to transport option. Bring one with you so you can get those sausages sizzling in no time. Don’t forget the charcoal and fire lighters.
8) Warm clothing and walking shoes
If you’re planning to hit the South West Coast Path don’t forget to take some sturdy walking boots and a windproof jacket. We are big fans of Jack Wolfskin clothing for all weather attire. Check out their site to get yourself kitted out. https://www.jack-wolfskin.co.uk/
It’s important to be able to see at night, particularly if you are walking back to a campsite in the dark. Moovans campervans all come with a handy torch to help you find your way.
10) Hosepipe for filling the water tank
Again no need to worry about this one all Moovans include a hosepipe for easy refilling of the water tank.
All the little details are taken care of for you when you rent from Moovans. We include the essentials – a corkscrew, a bottle opener, cutlery, plates and mugs so all you can relax and enjoy the trip.
